Financial Analyst

Position Description

Reporting to the Director, Finance, in this position you will be responsible for providing in-depth planning, forecasting and analysis.

Main duties include but are not limited to:

  • Monthly financial reporting and analysis
  • Pipeline analysis and quarterly/monthly revenue forecasts
  • Developing financial models and analyses to support other strategic initiatives
  • Supporting senior management and departmental managers with in-depth analysis
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process
  • Detailed account variance analysis
  • Sales compensation analysis
  • Year end audit support
  • Review internal control policies and procedures and suggest improvements
  • Assist with financial system review and possibly implementation
  • Other ad hoc reporting, analysis and special projects as required

Minimum requirements:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • Accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA) is an asset
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial management, budget management, financial planning and financial analysis
  • Advanced level Excel skills and data analysis capabilities
  • Ability to work independently but also in a team environment
  • Excellent ability to solve problems, professionally communicate issues and provide sustainable solutions
  • Ability to summarize financial information and communicate results to both financial and non-financial individuals
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is an asset
